Where is the Packaging going?
From regulations to sustainable applications
4th October 10.00am – 12.30pm

More and more often we hear about „sustainable packaging”, „circular” packaging: a series of concepts directly associated with the idea of packaging „of the future”, which according to the point of view of consumers must be increasingly functional, responsible and low environmental impact.
The search for sustainable packaging solutions represents a focal point of environmental sustainability policies
Traditionally, packaging plays a fundamental role in the protection of products: it has the task of preserving its content, preserving its organoleptic properties in the case of foodstuffs (taste, aromas, freshness, consistency …) or protecting it during its journey: from production, to shelf display, up to consumption.
But what exactly are the characteristics that packaging must possess to be “sustainable” in all respects? What regulations must it comply with?
